Our Provision
At Dove Bank Nursery we provide a safe, nurturing, stimulating environment in which children are able to learn and develop and ultimately be ready for school. We recognise that every child is unique and learns in their own way and at their own pace and so, adapt our activities and approaches. We are able to expand and enhance each child’s learning experience in order to develop their knowledge and understanding.
We welcome children into school after they turn 2 years old. Children in the nursery are split into 3 key worker groups.
Little Lady Birds, led by Mrs Sproston
Our Little Ladybirds is led by Sharon Sproston, who is a highly experienced, highly skilled early years' practitioner. Sharon has an infectious passion for her early years – in particular, providing quality provision for our 2-year-olds.
Busy Bees, led by Miss Simpson
Our Busy Bees are led by Rachel Simpson, who is a qualified teaching assistant. Rachel is an enthusiastic and passionate practitioner who always has new ideas to share with our children and community.
Big Butterflies, led by Mrs Bowler
The year before your child starts school, they will move into, or join, our Big Butterflies room. This room is led by Gill Bowler, a senior nursery nurse.
You may be eligible for free nursery hours provided by the government. Click HERE to learn more.
Children can join the nursery at any point in the school year, so if you are interested in your child joining us, please contact the school office who will be happy to arrange for you to visit us in person.
